This morning, 62 clients are awaiting consultation with our HIV care providers. They care for 7,000 people living with HIV; and have had a tremendous positive impact on people’s lives over the years. As many of you will have heard; the immediate future of HIV care in Africa is now uncertain and we are not spared the impacts of decisions regarding American support for HIV care.
The HIV clinic at MMH, one of the first in Malawi, is staffed by resourceful and committed nurses and assistants. Please be with them in your thoughts and prayers. Do reach out if you have any questions; although we are yet in uncertainty about future availability of resources for this work, we will keep you updated.
