A 4-bed high dependency unit provides care for very sick patients, for example those with severe injuries or following complex surgery. Staff working in the high dependency unit have developed local protocols based on national and international guidelines and use standardized assessment tools for every patient. Oxygen machines, suction pumps and other essential equipment are always available using solar power.
