Solar electricians from Malawi, the Netherlands and the US have started renovating and expanding the solar system at the hospital. We aim to improve the safety of the system, produce more green electricity, cut utility bills and increase the emergency capacity available in case of blackouts.

The project entails cleaning and re-installation of panels, addition of 72 new solar panels, installation of four solar inverters and three separate battery inverters. We also renovate the central power distribution panel and cabling to make future solar expansion and maintenance safe, cheap and easy.
